The Gnat and the Bull

The Gnat and the Bull. One day a gnat was out and about. He had decided that he would travel far and explore. He was feeling very brave and important and was certain that he would discover new lands, never before seen by anyone in the gnat kingdom.
After buzzing around for a time, Gnat realised that he was quite tired. Soon, he spotted Bull grazing in the field and thought it would be good to land on his horns.
He flew and buzzed around Bull's head, trying to catch his attention, but bull was quite absorbed in his grazing. Gnat landed anyway and took a little rest.
After some time, Gnat decided it was time to move on. He had much exploring to do.
Again, he tried to catch Bull's attention.
"Excuse me, Mister Bull! " Gnat shouted in Bull's ear, "I do apologise for resting on your horn. I hope I was not too much of a bother! "
Finally Bull saw the tiny gnat. He looked very confused.
"I did not even know you were there. You certainly have nothing to apologise for. You made no difference to me! " replied Bull, as he squinted to get a better look at Gnat.
With his head down, Gnat buzzed off. He realised that perhaps he was not as significant as he thought he was.

Moral:In the grand scheme of things, we are much less important than we think we are.
